His Highness Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan Tamim who is the general commander of Dubai Police confirmed that there are clear instructions to not issuing any violation for the GCC’s residents cars during their visit to Dubai City except in the case they are insisting to break the law and rules of the road in the country or in the case of making any serious offenses against the law and prove the serious intention in committing these violations. Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan Tamim mentioned in a press statement that he has issued clear instructions to the general directorate of Dubai’s traffic and the officials of patrols in addition to the police stations not to violate the GCC’s residents cars except in the mentioned cases where he pointed out that the men of Dubai’s police whether officers or members are qualified very well to identify and detect if the traffic’s violation is committed intentionally or not and if it caused by disregard for the lives of road’s users.
His Highness mentioned that these instructions are made especially for consideration of good handling with Gulf’s siblings who come with their vehicles to the country in order to spend their holidays alone or with their families, and he pointed out that these visitors often do not know the traffic’s system on some roads or the commitment rules of traffic’s signals, and they do not commit any traffic’s incidents where the administration will overlook for their small traffic’s violations, and will not register any offense against them but if there is an actual or deliberate insistence to commit an offense, they will be violated immediately by the authorities.
His Highness said that there is no need to put the violation’s paper on the car where the plates of violated vehicle are filmed immediately via the phone and stored electronically in the system, and the violator will be notified right away with a message on his/her phone because his car is listed in the system. Also, he mentioned on his page on “Twitter” that there is a possibility of registering the violation by using the sound on mobile phone and this violation will be written in the traffic system where the violator will receive “SMS” message on his/her phone. On the other hand, His Highness confirmed the join of “Bugatti Veron” to the luxury Dubai police patrols recently where he published the photo of this car on his account.
