This year, the United Arab Emirates proudly unveiled the world’s most expensive model car, attracting the attention of motorists all over the country.

A tiny Lamborghini, eight times smaller than a life sized model and estimated at twelve times more expensive, is made out of pure gold and platinum with a carbon fibre base and is destined for auction.

The seller of the model has offered to sell to an interested buyer for around 7.8 million dollars, if they would like to bypass the auction process. Generously, ten percent of the purchase price will go to a charity.

Built in germany, the car is a prototype that was never meant to be made full sized; it was admitted into the Guinness Book of World Records for it’s sheer price, among other features and is catching the eye of affluent motorists in the UAE as it travels from the Dubai showroom where it was held in October, to Abu Dhabi, and then back to Dubai for the International Motor Show before heading out on a world tour.

Robert Guelpen, the creator and engineer of the extremely well executed, and very detailed model cars, is from Germany and has years of experience with automobile engineering and the crafting of model cars. His mission is to “create a tribute to the legend of the automobile: the most expensive and precious model car in the world.”

The model was made from a five hundred kilogram block of solid gold, and has diamond headlights. The body of the vehicle is gold and the rims are platinum. The detailed interior is stunning, with seven hundred precious stones woven into the fabric of each seat. Robert’s goal is perfection, and the masterpiece he has created is getting the kind of attention that he was striving for.

Auto-enthusiasts see this one of a kind collectable as infinitely valuable, and will be quick to bid on such an incredible and unique model car.

The display in the showroom of Dubai has attracted many visitors and is gaining world-wide attention; appropriately displaying the luxurious lifestyle of Dubai, where some policemen drive around in Porsches and Lamborghinis.
