Safety issues have been at the heart of vehicle recalls by the manufacturing companies since auto engineering time immemorial. In the Yaris, there appears to be a roof headliner that does not meet federal requirements of protection against injury to the inhabitant in case the vehicle is involved in a crash. The installed headliner does not render the required protection and as such increases the chances of injury many times over.
