Tips To remove Car Rust

There are many reasons for the car rust that can cause you lots of trouble, perhaps the most important reason is scratching the basic paint of the car as a result of a friction with another body which expose the car metal to moisture and air which eventually cause rust or simply the car’s age and the area where it was parked. To keep your car body safe and clean, follow these instructions and tips:

1) You have to take preventive measures such as gloves, protective glasses and respirator mask, as the cleaning process will result in a lot of dirt, paint and flying rust which may cause a problem if it touched the eye or enter your respiratory system.

2) Covering the car parts operation is from the important steps that most  people miss all the time so it is necessary to avoid these common mistakes by using a newspaper where paint leaks across it and doesn’t stain the car’s windshield. It is preferred to use the material that does not have pores, but still that is not enough because the paint could leak from the bottom edges so be sure to cover all the material edges.

3) Remove the paint around the rust using the electric sandpaper device and adjust the speed from 80 to 150 to remove the outer and basic coating from the body of the car in addition to any light dust that did not react with the metal and then touch with your hands the area that you removed the paint from to see how smooth the surface is.

4) Purchase an appropriate basic coating to cover the metal and a spray paint suitable with the color of the car.

5) Prepare the spot for coating by following the instructions on the basic paint package.

6) Sprinkle light layers of the basic coating with a balanced level and wait for a few seconds between each layer and then leave it to dry overnight or at least 12 hours.

7) Use the wet sandpaper “grit 400” which is dedicated to smooth the surface and be sure to keep a bucket of water next to you to moisturize the sandpaper all the time and remove the paint from its surface, and then wash the area with a mixture of soap and water.

8) Sprinkle a light layer of the paint and spray the number of layers required on the basic paint until you get a suitable color and let it dry for 24 hours.

9) Refine the edges of the new paint till it blends with the old paint of the car.

10) Let the paint dry for 48 hours and then wash and polish the car, do not use any wax on the new paint only after 30 days.
