Every time, a car assessment is made on the basis of the oomph factor that it creates before launch and the round of applaud that it gains once the car model is out in the market. Here, our main intention is to tell you about the specifications of Camaro SS that is due to be launched in the year 2014. So, let the tour begin!

Firstly, we think that all of you might be pretty much aware of the fact that the Chevy till manufactures two of its most outstanding Camaro models, i.e. the ZL1 and Z28. The most amusing fact of both these car models is that they are packed with the horsepower more or equivalent to 500. On the other side, the SS models are better composed as compared to the models that were brought forth in the form of 2-ton convertibles during 1960s. Every SS is equipped with a Corvette-derived 6.2-liter V-8 engine that has the capacity to generate around 426 horsepower. Overall, heart of the car, i.e. the engine is far more muscular and powerful yet lightweight.

Till date, the Chevy has tweaked about the front and rear view of the upcoming SS. It has been said that the Chevrolet has decided to go Japanese by dumping the Camaro’s distinctive quad tail. This decision has given the Camaro generic horizontal units that look somewhat like Nissan. Still, the body of the car is thick. There are prominent character lines and flared fender wells on the sides that tend to give it a comparatively slimmer look. It has a 20-inch alloy wheels that looks good. Additionally, there is a fairly meaty 245/45 tires that give a better overall look to the wheel section. As far its performance is concerned, the car is capable of jumping from zero to sixty in almost 5 seconds. The total weight of the car is around 4,100 pounds. Even then, the V-8 makes it a quick but slower car.

As per the results received from a recent report, 2014 SS has been rated at 16 miles/gallon in the city and 24 on the highway. Handling has always been a noticeable factor of all the Camaros, but the fact is that the brand has come up with something better with launch of every single car model. The recent version comes with a Euro-style, modern, independent rear suspension.

It has a very lean body. It is a four passenger car that is rear-wheel-drive convertible. The dashboard (made using smooth black plastic) is mostly flat on top. The people who have got a chance to sit inside the car have said that the back seat is a bit tightly packed and there is a very less space to fit in a full-size adult. The expected price is supposed to be around $46,360. Apart from that, the customization options are also available. So, if you wish to get it personalized according to your taste and choice, then you can get it done too by paying a few extra bucks.
