Traffic Report on Sudden Swerving Violation
In a recently released traffic report, Abu Dhabi Police has provided details of the sudden swerving violations recorded in the emirate during 2018. According to Abu Dhabi Police, motorists changing lanes without using indicators have caused the second-highest number of road accidents in the emirate during 2018 so far. Authorities have reminded motorists of hefty penalties for this dangerous violation and asked them to refrain from changing lanes without using indicators. Sudden swerving was the second most dangerous traffic violation in 2017 also as 14% of the road accidents recorded last year were caused by it.
A mid-year road safety report released in July 2018 revealed sudden swerving as the number one reason behind road deaths in Dubai. Traffic Penalties for Sudden Swerving in the UAE
