About Salik: Dubai’s Toll Gate

Salik, meaning open or clear, is Dubai’s road toll collection system. First launched in July 2007, Salik is a free flow tolling system that operates without toll booths, barriers or gates, allowing traffic to move freely through tolling points at highway speeds.

The heart of the system is the Salik tag which is attached to the vehicle windshield and utilizes the latest Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to positively identify the vehicle as it passes through a Salik tolling point.

Each time a vehicle passes a Salik tolling point, the toll of AED 4 is deducted from the customers prepaid Salik toll account; no worries, it is that simple.

How it Works?

Salik is a free flow tolling system that operates without toll booths, barriers, or gates, allowing traffic to move freely through tolling point at highway speeds.

There are six tolling points: Al Safa, Al Barsha, Al Garhoud Bridge, Al Maktoum Bridge, AL Mamzar and Airport Tunnel. Each time you pass through a Salik tolling point your vehicle is detected using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology that is built into your Salik sticker tag and the toll of AED 4 will be deducted from your prepaid toll account.

Violation Management

The Violation Management section allows you to search for Salik violations you may have incurred and gives you the option to dispute them. To use this feature, you can search for violations by providing your vehicle registration information. Once the results are displayed, one or more violations may be submitted for dispute. Salik aims to complete all dispute investigations within 15 working days of submission. Submitted disputes can be viewed online throughout the entire dispute process.
