RTA to Offer 300 Distinctive Number Plates at its 55th Online Auction

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is all set to offer 300 distinctive number plates at its upcoming 55^th Online Auction. RTA has announced the schedule for the upcoming auction and according to the announcement, the auction will be held on February 24, 2019. The registration for the 55^th Online Auction by RTA has already started from Feb 17, 2019 and number plate enthusiasts can register for the auction through RTA website (www.rta.ae). Details of the 55^th Online Auction by RTA

The Roads and Transport Authority holds open and online auctions on a regular basis to fulfil an ever-growing demand for special number plates in Dubai. Dubieties will have yet another opportunity to bid for their favorite number plate as the 55^th Online Auction for special number plates will be held this Sunday. The Online Auction will begin at 8:00 AM on February 24, 2019 and will continue for five days. The 55^th Online Auction by RTA will feature a wide variety of distinctive number plates, much to the delight of number plate enthusiasts in Dubai.

The Lineup of Number Plates to be offered at the 55th Online Auction

RTA will be offering 300 distinctive number plates at the upcoming online auction comprising of four-digit and five-digit number plates. These number plates will bear A, B, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, and T codes. The prices for all number plates will be inclusive of the 5% Valued Added Tax (VAT) that has been implemented on all commercial and business activities in the UAE since the start of 2018.

How to take part in RTA’s 55^th Online Auction?

Number plate enthusiasts can easily register for the 55^th Online Auction through the RTA website. For this purpose, the interested bidders must have an account on the RTA website or they will have to create a new one by clicking the New User’s Link.

Here are a few important things to keep in mind if you are looking to register for RTA’s 55^th Online Auction:

• An interested bidder must have a Dubai registered vehicle or should have a Dubai based driving license to participate in the upcoming online auction.
• A non-refundable participation fee of AED 120 and a security deposit of AED 5,000 have to be paid to complete the registration process for the upcoming online auction. These payments can be made through credit card using the Dubai Drive App or by using the RTA website. Payments can also be made at Customers Happiness Centers in Umm Al Ramool, Al Barsha or Deira.
• The successful bidders have to clear their payments against the number plates within ten working days from the last day of the event, otherwise, their bids will be cancelled and their names will be blacklisted by the authorities.
