RTA to offer 250 Fancy Number Plates in its 48th Online Auction

The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is all set to bring yet another online number plate auction for the residents of Dubai. RTA has announced the schedule of its 48^th online auction that will continue for five days. The registration for the event has already started from 4^th of June and auction of number plates will begin online on Sunday, June, 11 at 8:00 AM. RTA auctions of fancy and unique number plates have always grabbed significant attention of the number plate enthusiasts in Dubai and the upcoming auction is also expected to gain considerable public interest.

Details of the Fancy Number Plates to be auctioned

According to RTA, a vast variety of unique and fancy number plates will be available for bidding at the 48^th online auction. A senior official at the licensing agency of RTA told that the number plates to be offered at the forthcoming online auction will comprise of three, four or five digits with (H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S) codes.

How to Register and Participate in the 48^th Online Auction Event?

Interested bidders need to get themselves registered for the online auction by visiting any of the Customer Happiness Centres of the RTA at Bur Dubai, Deira, Al Twar Municipal Centre and Umm Al Ramool. The Director of Vehicle Licensing RTA, Sultan Al Marzouqi said that the interested bidders need to deposit a refundable security fee of AED 5,000 along with a separate participation fee of AED 120.

The bidders can also register themselves online and in that case, they can deposit the amount for security fee and participation fee through credit card.

Eligibility Criteria

It is important to know that the bidders who wish to take part in the online auction must either have their vehicles registered in Dubai or they must have a driving license issued from Dubai.

Sultan Al Marzouqi stated that successful bidders, who win their desired number plates at the online event can pay for the number plates within 10 working days after the end of the event. The security deposit of AED 5,000 will then be refunded to the bidders as per the RTA’s policy.
