Red Tape Easier for UAE Drivers Now

Traffic and licensing departments across the UAE will be linked for the first time by new software that allows vehicle owners to go to any branch in the country to pay fines, renew licenses, get ownership certificates and more.
Previously, drivers had to visit branches in the emirate where their vehicle was first registered.

The Ministry of Interior’s new Federal Traffic and Licensing System incorporates 61 vehicle-related services. Brigadier Ghaith Hassan Al Zaabi, the general director of Traffic Coordination at the Ministry of Interior, said the new system was part of a move towards electronic governance.
