Driving in Dubai can never be an easy task. Your driving style needs to cope with the conditions of the weather and the road, and on top of all, you need to cope with some irresponsible drivers and their reckless behavior.
These are some of the unacceptable behaviors that you may encounter while behind the wheels.
-Use of indicators:
Generally, people use indicators to show the driver in front of them that they are going to move on, so he should move to the side of the road to leave way. Actually, it’s not the case on most of the roads if Dubai. The use of indicators there is very haphazard. However, the police is being strict to these

-Lane rules violations:
It is as if no one ever heard about driving in the right lane.
Drivers keep driving from a lane to another, form the fast lane to the slow one without any further warning signal, as if he is the only driver in the road. In this case, you should be ready the whole time for such actions.
Another violation is not obeying the speed limits for each lane. Like driving 140 k/h in a slow lane, or driving 60 k/h in the fast one.
This violation may cause a lot of accidents.
-Misunderstood hand gestures:
It’s extremely offensive to use hand gestures while driving, especially in the UAE. There is a set of punishments for this action in the law including paying fines or going to prison. Don’t give any sign that can be misunderstood in any way. Another thing to keep in mind is never to swear at any one under any circumstances, because this is punishable too.
-Unsafe Parking:
It’s totally unacceptable to leave your car in a parking place and come back to find it scratched or with few dints on the door.
Unfortunately m there is a lot of such unrespectable drivers. In this case, the best thing to do is to call the police and make a report about what happened. To avoid this, try not to park in crowded places.
-The “online” drivers:
Nowadays, there is like an obsession of what is called “the social media” like Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter …. etc. and because its an obsession, drivers tend to drive with their cell phones in their hands maybe chatting with someone especially the youngsters. They don’t understand that they are risking their lives in this way.
