Over-speeding has emerged as one of the major reasons for road fatalities in Sharjah in recent times. The reckless drivers continue to commit traffic violations all over the UAE. As a result, the number of road fatalities continues to rise in the city. One more fatality was added to the death count as an over-speeding car hit a metal road divider on Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Street in Sharjah.

How the Accident Occurred

Over-speeding has come out to be the most common reason for road accidents in Sharjah. This accident was also a result of over-speeding. The driver the of car, over-speeding on Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Street, lost control and the car got hit into a Metal Road Divider. The car rolled over on road multiple times which caused the death of a 35 year Emirati woman while two more people got seriously injured. The police patrol, ambulance and traffic experts reached the site of accident in short time. The injured ones were sent to Khalifa Hospital Ajman, while the dead body was shifted to morgue.

Other Traffic Accidents in Sharjah

While an Emirati woman got died in an over-speeding accident in Sharjah, a diesel truck got rolled over on the Emirates road near the intersection 7 on the way to Al Badee Area. The driver of truck could not keep control as he was over-speeding and this accident caused a massive traffic jam in the area for multiple hours.

Police ask the Motorists to be more Responsible

In wake of the recent surge in over-speeding violations, the Sharjah police has asked motorists to feel their responsibility to reduce road fatalities. Motorists in the UAE have been approached by traffic authorities multiple times to stop them from committing traffic violations, especially over-speeding. It is the individual responsibility of everyone on the road to move carefully to keep the peace on the road and minimize the accidents and traffic congestions.
