Smart Dubai Initiative – Paying Fines with Voice Recognition
Dubai residents can now use their iPhones and the Siri feature to pay their traffic fines and even present their suggestions to the Dubai Police. The motorists don’t even have to open their Dubai Police app to do this. General Director of Smart Services Department, Brigadier Khaled Nasser Alrazooqi said that Dubai Police is the first Government establishment to provide and develop such a service in the region.
This new initiative allows the residents to pay their traffic fines with ease without having to open the Dubai Police app or open the Dubai Police website. He also revealed that the Dubai Police wants to remain active always available via such smart platforms.
In this way, the Dubai Police is hopeful to satisfy the residents and have them involved in the new Smart Dubai Initiative. The motorists can fill in applications, make transactions, and give suggestions and present feedbacks easily via their smartphones.

Voice Recognition Makes It Easier For Motorists
With the voice recognition feature, the Dubai residents will now have less steps to follow to complete one action. With the new smart app, e-payment is much easier. The users have to register on the mPay service that is provided by Dubai Smart Government to use this feature.
The Dubai Motorists can use their credit cards to pay their traffic fines via this new voice recognition payment method. Dubai Police app project manager, Samer Al-Khawajah said, “After the new update of iOS was released, our team, under the guidance of the General Director, started studying the integrating process with the app and then designed and developed this feature, following the most international programming standards and applying the best user experience (UI, UX).”
