The 2015 Lexus GS sedan prototype has a high-performance and an “F-style gear”. Currently, the GS sedan lineup consists on the GS350, GS350 F Sport, and GS450h hybrid. A true supersedan from Lexus finally would give its customers an alternative to cars like the M5, the E63 AMG, or the Audi S6.

Exterior Features:

Standard 18-inch split five-spoke wheels give the GS 350 an edge on agility without detracting from ride quality. Those seeking the ultimate in sporty handling for the GS 350 can choose the F SPORT package, which combines track-tuned chassis enhancements with exclusive design features.

The GS F got a completely worked-over chassis, and some enhancements were made to the body structure to further solidify things up. The stacked exhaust finishers are an F signature, and the rear diffuser element and rear spoiler is more exciting than even those of the GS F Sport. The front of the car also looks sharp and sassy.

Interior Features:

The base set of features in the 2015 GS 350 is very impressive, wrapping in ten airbags; a rearview camera; leather upholstery; satellite radio and iPod connectivity; Bluetooth with audio streaming; and Remote Touch, the mouselike controller that runs secondary systems. This year, with an Enform App Suite upgrade, you get Slacker app-based streaming audio and upgrades to iHeartRadio; and navigation-equipped cars get the improved infotainment system that made its debut on the IS sedans last year is now added to the GS. It brings improved map views, predictive traffic, voice recognition, and even a 15-minute buffer feature for radio listening.

There’s also a Siri EyesFree mode that, if you have a compatible iPhone, adds enhanced compatibility through the vehicle interface. And a new Enform Remote subscription-based service adds things like remote locking and unlocking, a vehicle finder, status reports, and a “guest driver monitor” that might allow you to clue in on your teenager’s driving habits.

In this generation GS 350, Lexus put more control over vehicle performance at the driver’s fingertips with the Drive Mode selector. In addition to Normal mode, the system offers ECO mode, which sets throttle mapping, seat heating and climate control systems for optimal fuel economy. When driving in ECO mode, instrument meter lighting changes to blue.

The GS 350 really comes alive in SPORT S mode, with throttle mapping delivering sharper response and transmission shifting priorities altered to hold gears longer under acceleration.
