Al-Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor for Lexus in the UAE announced the arrival of the new sport sedan car “IS 2014” to the UAE.
The IS250 car is available with a 6 cylinder fuel engine that has a capacity of 2.5 liters and the engine has a V shape with an automatic transmission system that consists of six speeds and the system has the direct sport transmission feature. For the IS350 model, the car has a 6 cylinder fuel engine with capacity of 3.5 liters and the engine has a V shape with an automatic transmission system that consists of eight speeds and the system has the direct sport transmission feature.
The IS model is equipped with a driving system that enable the driver to choose the style of driving which provides up to four styles of driving which are ECO, normal, sport, and sport S+ where the S+ style is available in the IS350 model in the F class. This system improves the car’s performance according to the favorite choices of the driver in terms of the economic efficiency in the fuel consumption, convenience features, performance and management.
The automatic transmission works with eight speeds plus the direct sport transmission feature in addition to the high performance of the “IS F” model with more gears movement speed, torque with full lock convertible system and the transmission pedal in the manual driving style. The “IS” model is the first model from Lexus Company which is based on the artificial intelligence and depending on the “G-Force” in the sport driving style. This system automatically selects the optimum gear and slows down the speed according to the “G-Force” in addition to maintain the selected gear at corners.
The company modified the double front suspension in the form of collarbone to provide an increase of 20% in driving accuracy. The back side of the vehicle included a new suspension system with new multi-link system. These new systems are providing distinct levels of performance in controlling the vehicle and a great response in the steering inputs. The separate installation of the springs and the shock absorbent increased the space allocated to the luggage compartment.
The “IS F” models have benefited from the advantages of sporting exterior and interior styling in addition to the dynamic improvements. The F sport models confirmed its presence with the “L-mesh” grille which incorporates a bolder design. The lower corners of the front pumpers are characterized by aerodynamic details to enhance the cooling system of the brakes and all these models are equipped with unique 18-inch rims.
