Does the maintenance of the car change by air temperature?! Many people do not care about this matter despite the fact that auto experts know very well that dealing with cars in the winter is quite different from dealing during the high temperature in the summer.
There are some important tips to maintain the car in the winter:
1) Heating the car especially cars with old model which take a few minutes to heat up, note that it consumes more time in the winter, but modern cars do not need to heat (as instructed by the manufacturer) but there is an opinion advised heated them in the winter when you start to use the car at the morning for two or three minutes because this makes the performance of the car better when you are driving.
2) In order to maintain the car from rust, you must avoid two things which are:
- When washing the car, you must dry the outer bodywork completely because what is left of the water on the car body for a long time and do not dry due to low temperature affects some places such as rust “cusp of the car and places that omitted cavities”.
- You’ve to wash the car from the bottom at the beginning of winter in the petrol station and also washing out the mud whenever stuck after days of rain because damage comes from the mud dampened with water stuck to the car body.
3) Windshield wipers must be in very good condition to do it’s job perfectly when it is raining to avoid any accident.
4) Car tires must also be in good condition and must be mindful to maintain the air pressure inside the tires at the required level every short period, and should be changed if corrosion or if it has passed its useful life (40000 or 45000) kilometers in most brands.
5) The battery in the car parked for long periods of time must be heated once every two days at the most in the winter so as not to lose the battery charging.
6) Fog lamps must be repaired if they do not work, they provide a light extra for the car from the front or the back (In the cars contain by background Fog lamps) at of less visibility such as mist times and times of rain at night, which leads to increase lighting for the driver as well as alarm the presence of other cars to reduce car accidents.
7) Air condition, most people don’t know that to maintain the air conditioner, you’ve to run it in moderation because the operating maintains a non-drought hoses and tubes of air condition and lack of accumulation of dust inside them, also helps to maintain the no-leak refrigerant (Freon), so you must run the air conditioner regularly and in the winter, you must run it on cooling for 5 or 10 minutes every two weeks at the most.
