Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan went out of their way, going off the beaten path, and introduced a new brand of vehicles that could have a wider mass appeal in the car market. This move is quite capital intensive and the manufacturer has to make sure that the new brand can hold its own – even against some of the other parent company models that fall in its segment. Infiniti has over the years churned out beautiful cars but these have also been riddled with numerous glitches and faults leading to a number of recalls so as to fix them. In February 2015 various models from 2007 to 2009 were recalled due to a problem in the steering column that result in the fracture of the bearing retainer leading to extra stress in steering or loss of steering control thus heightening the chances of a crash.

In January of the same year more models were recalled due to a faulty latch on the hood of the vehicles that could more or less result into the hood flipping over during driving and thus blocking the vision of the driver leading to accidents. In the same month more recalls were issued for the Infiniti QX60 due to faulty service brakes.
