Honda Civic got a new look in 2013 after one year of the new generation appearance in 2012. Honda Civic came back this year with new updates to take the title of the best small-sized car in the market. The most important change in the external shape is the sport front end with Chrome plus a new design for the rear lights. The VTi category has large-sized rims with distinctive design where this design is better than the previous year design but the car is not attractive to a certain extent.
For the interior, there is a marked improvement in the center console and side rests materials but the dashboard and rear seats rests are made from a cheap plastic. In the VTi category, all the rests are covered with leather and the front seats are comfortable and have a good cohesion for the passengers while the rear space is one of the best in this class due to the flat floor and the space available for the head. There are 4 cup holders (2 in front & 2 in back) and there are pockets in each door of the car. Overall, the internal design gives a luxury feeling and the duo counters deliver a technical impression.
In all categories except for the minimum category, there is a color screen in the upper part of the counters “i-MID” which provides driving information and audio information “Bluetooth” plus a radio. The steering wheel is made from the leather and contains the phone buttons to control the answering and closing beside the speed control button and buttons to control the “i-MID” screen. The audio system is good with USB and AUX ports. The air condition is excellent with the high temperature of Dubai atmosphere. Also, there are sunroof, smart key, HID lights, fog lights, rear camera with sensors and all the usual electrical specifications. In terms of safety, there are ABS, ESP for the brakes and the car balance. All categories have front airbags only while the VTi has airbag in the front and sides.
Honda Civic engine is a 1.8-liter which provides a power of 139 hp and 127 lb / ft torque and is connected to a 5-speed automatic transmission. At 120 km / h speed, the engine spins at 2,300 rpm only which gives an excellent performance to reduce the fuel consumption. The suspension system has become more flexible than before where the car is amazing in turns and it has an excellent stability and you will not lose the control even if you drove the car crazily. The new Civic has become more fun than before.
