As far as concepts go, the Ford Edge is not really a new one, because as those who are familiar with it can tell you, it has been around for some time, 2007 to be precise. When it first came out, it was a revolutionary and surprising model. The innovation comes from the fact that Ford usually aim for a more masculine and macho feel, and to see them pull off a model that is more sleek and feminine is quite surprising. The way it feels
Looking at a typical Ford interior you always see that they focus on telling you a story. The materials are soft and nice to the touch and the curve is also nice and intuitive. You almost feel like its real wood. This tasteful and retro feeling is however interrupted in the case of the Ford Edge. Because right in the middle of its otherwise impressive dashboard, they added a surprising amount of black gloss, enough to discourage even the most avid Ford Collector. The problem with this is that it makes the buyer feel like his car is cheap and plastic, just like a hastily made toy that breaks after two weeks of playing with it.
The rear seat can also have a reclining function, allowing you to take a good look at the panoramic roof that the car has to offer. Another job that seems rushed is the roofline which seems that it’s barely held together by chewing gum. In some of these models you can honestly hear metal cracks when you push on it. I don’t care how big of a Ford fan you are, that is not pleasing.
Engineering
It has a pretty good inbuilt system developed by Microsoft and the Ford Motor Company. What this allows if for you to synchronize your phone and music players to the car’s display screen, allowing for greater accessibility.

With an estimate car priceof about 105,000 AED. All of the models you buy will have the decent 2.5L V6 engine, and a pleasing 285 horsepower output, and let’s not forget the optional AWD system and the FWD drivetrain.

Overall this is a decent model that is held back by the feel that it was rushed out the gate. Minor grievances from the customers can make or break a model sales number.
