Five Cars That Won’t See 2015 (Part 2)

In continuation of Part 1 of this post, here are the top three vehicles that are most likely to be ousted for the 2015 market offer.

3. Chevrolet Spark

This four-seat city car has all the newest technological features, but is not a good deal for the money. Costing up to $27,000, it only gets 31 mpg from its variable engine and is very, very slow. When driving, the cabin is loud and the car is jittery. It may be easy to park, but that is about it. The electric version is the best, but it is only sold in a very select market.

2. Jeep Wrangler Limited

With a V6, 5-speed automatic this Jeep gets 17 mpg overall, which is not saying much in comparison to other SUVs in its class, much less other Wrangler editions. This particular edition does not have the best off-road capability, and combined with the loud noise at high speeds and the awkwardness of getting in an out, it is a poor choice for Wrangler lovers.

1. Smart ForTwo

This model sadly boasts only slow sales, terrible gas mileage and awful driveability. It is marketed to too small a group of consumers and as a result is at the top of the list of worst cars so far in this century. The Smart experiment has great intentions, but poor execution as exemplified by the ForTwo model.

All of these vehicles may have been the newest introduction to the market a few years ago, but they have since lost their luster – and their customers. The reasoning behind this selection is based mostly on visual attractiveness, gas efficiency and overall driver pleasure. After all, who wants to buy a vehicle that costs a lot but gives little return? Or one that looks nice and has excellent features but sounds like you are in a jet when you are driving down the highway? So, if you are purchasing a new car, stay away from these; they won’t be around long for a reason!
