Nissan Motor Company has issued a global recall for its Sunny model that was in production in the period spanning the years from June 2012 to March 2013. Over 67,000 units of the model are being recalled so as to fix the problem that they exhibit.

A spokesperson for the Japanese car maker revealed that car evaluation carried out by their technical people showed that there was problem with the master brake cylinder and it is this that the recall is about and that the company is going to replace. The statement from the manufacturer continued on to say that when operating the braking system under light braking force, the customer may experience longer brake pedal travel. In extreme cases, reduced braking performance may occur and as a result the braking distances required to stop the vehicle will increase.

In order to retain the trust of the participants in the car market and keep its car rating high, Nissan has gotten out in front of this and independently recalled the cars even if it claims there have been no reports of the problem from the customers’ side. The company promises to replace the master brake cylinder for free.
