Whenever the cultures of creative minds hosted by a country varied, the industrial and economic prosperity in this country will be more than any other country because these creative minds will provide many solutions for many problems which lead to increase the economic resources and increase the research and inventions in many industries and fields. The creative minds will provide welfare, well-being and tranquility to this country where it is not surprising that the inventions and innovations are the most important factors of evolution and development from many different angles.

For this reason, Hanifa Taher who is the Emirati researcher in the Faculty of Engineering at the UAE University managed to make an enzymatic production for the bio-fuel “alternative of Petroleum” from green micro-algae by using the supercritical carbon dioxide “compromise case between liquids and gases” through several stages where she planted the algae in the lab and then extracted oils from the algae by using carbon dioxide which is not harmful to the environment, and then she used the extracted oil in order to convert it into biodiesel.

Hanifa Taher explained in a press statement that she is now in the process of designing and testing a device for extraction and interaction the oil to produce diesel by using minimum quantities of carbon dioxide where the bio-diesel can be used as an alternative or a companion to the petroleum diesel. Also, she stressed that there is a UAE’s company specialized in the production of bio-fuels in the United Arab Emirates showed an interest in the field of her study and expressed its desire to sign an agreement with her to cooperate in the field of research in order to apply the Scientific outputs and reduce the proportion of atmospheric carbon dioxide and toxic gases emitted from the vehicle exhausts by using the biodiesel which is produced by algae instead of using the normal fuel that has a larger amount of carbon dioxide.

Hanifa Taher reported that her participation in the International Conference of Chemical Engineering in Canada gave her a great opportunity to present two research papers related to the cultivation of algae and extract oils. Her participation was a huge step to show the world that there are many creative minds in the country; her participation was through the UAE University. Also, she was able to get a patent from Britain for a device to extract and convert oils using carbon dioxide. This creative device will affect the automotives market in the UAE because if she managed to replace the normal fuel with the bio-fuel, the future of cars in the UAE will be different.
