UAE topped the vehicles’ market in2013 where the sales grew double the sales of the neighboring countries where the Audi sales increased by 32% compared with 16.3 % in the Middle East and the UAE sales outperformed the market sales in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait while UAE earned the most sales of BMW and Mini companies in the region by 46% and the Abu Dhabi market was the bestseller where it reported a growth rate of 15% while Dubai saw an increase in sales by 10%.
With a growth rate of 32.3% for Audi in the region, the volume of sales reached to 4,458 units sold in the UAE and followed by Saudi Arabia with 1,904 car, and Kuwait with 1,407 cars in 2013. Altogether, Audi recorded a strong growth in all markets in the Middle East except Syria where Audi Company suspended its business operations there.
Audi sold 10,647 vehicles in the Middle East last year which exceeded the expectations of annual sales for the company so the company recorded its best year ever in terms of sales in the region and the numbers of delivering cars to the customers increased by 16.3 % across the GCC and Levant comparing with the previous year. In December, the company delivered more than 1092 cars to buyers for the first time in the history of the company.
Audi Middle East plans to pour more emphasis on raising the capacity and quality of sales and after-sales service to support its growth in the region and reach its goal of selling 20 thousand units annually by 2020.
Trevor Hill, Managing Director of Audi Middle East said: “We have achieved new sales record in the Middle East market where the demand growth was much faster than we expected and we still the fastest German brand growing in the Middle East. We will continue to focus on strengthening our structure infrastructure in 2014. This year will witness that almost all of our agents in the region will invest in the opening of new facilities in line with the company’s strategy for sustainable growth”.
As part of this sales growth, Al Naboodah Motors, the official agent for Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will open a new showroom in each of Fujairah and Sharjah where both showrooms will have all the sales and service facilities for Audi customers.
