Electric ‘Fisker Karma’ car in Dubai
“Fisker Karma” car has become the first electric car sold officially in the Middle East. The new “Fisker” company is now the first company enters the market and the car was tested at the ceremony in Dubai. The company’s founders mentioned how they have evolved the car to prove the company’s ability where the “Fisker” company claims that it has sold more cars than “Maserati” in this year. This is really amazing thing where the company was established in America by Danish designer and the “Karma” company manufactures sedan cars in Finland. It is expected that the company will sell 100 new cars in the Middle East.
The car looks big but it really catches the attention as a sedan car. The car has a low roof with 22 -inch rims and attractive design. It is equipped with an electric hybrid engine “Plug-in Hybrid” where the car is based on an electric engine with 20 kW / h batteries of kW / h where the 2.0-liter turbo fuel engine generates power and it charges the batteries when it became empty. The overall power of this hybrid engine is 403 HP and 1300 Nm / m of direct torque due to the electric engine. Charging the car battery with electricity takes up to 6 hours and the batteries are charging when you press the brakes and when the fuel engine works as a generator for energy.
The interior of the car has a sporty design and low seats. The artificial leather with is a protector for the environment covers the entire interior and the center console extends to the back to cover the batteries. The front space is good but it will be annoying for the high-tall people. The center touch-screen replaces most of the buttons in the console and there are only some buttons on the steering wheel. You can enter the car through a small button on the door with “Open” label written on it.
There are two types of driving options available in the car, the first option is called “stealth” to operate the car in electric mode only and the other option is called “sport” and is designed for the highways. In the case of electric only, the car covers a distance of 80 kilometers without any generator or fuel and then the fuel engine generates power for a distance of 400 kilometers further. While driving around the city, the car is very quietly and the car is equipped with speakers on the front and rear bumpers and these speakers launch a sound to alert the pedestrians.
