In order to use this application, the user must enter his/her number into the application so the application can search for the nearest taxi automatically”. He added: “This application locates the user automatically which makes getting a taxi is quite easy and convenience. Once the driver confirms the request, the user will be notified directly to the location of the taxi and upon the arrival of the car to the place chosen by the user; the user will be notified with this as well”.
He explained the process as following: “The users will be able to evaluate the performance of the driver which will allow the Roads and Transport Authority to obtain feedbacks directly from users that leads to increase the level of satisfaction with the service and this smart initiative will cover more than 8007 taxis in the Emirate of Dubai”. He also said: “At the end of the journey, a simple form of five points will be offered to the user in order to evaluate the performance of the driver. This application will also offer the previous booking requests tracking process for the user to be used in the conduct of new booking requests”.
Shakeri pointed out that this application allows the user to book a taxi in advance at any date or any time along with instant booking for taxi. If the user approached by a taxi parking square, the application will give him instructions to reach it. He added: “Roads and Transport Authority seeks always to take advantage of the latest technology to develop a variety of its services which are provided to the public from different social classes according to the best scientific standards and due to the increasing demand for taxis in the emirate of Dubai, we are committed to continuing the expansion and development of our services to ensure the users’ satisfaction”.
