Dubai Police edged on supercars to wing-footed

UAE, the federation of seven emirates decided to proceed with their maximum protection by accumulating the supercars in to police stations. Most recently Dubai Police has added yet another supercar to its fleet with the introduction of a McLaren MP4-12C, which can go from 0-200 km/h in 8.9 seconds. The car was unveiled in its livery on the police force’s official Twitter account, which stated: “Dubai Police latest Super Patrol Car. The McLaren MP4-12C. It’s the latest in a growing list of supercars in the Dubai Police arsenal to catch criminals.

Police also currently have unveiled three more supercar models as part of its new look car fleet. Following recent unveilings of a Ferrari FF and a Lamborghini, the force has shown off cars from luxury UK auto maker Aston Martin, Bentley and Mercedes. The Aston Martin One-77, Bentley Continental GT and Mercedes SLS have been launched at the Arabian Travel Market in 2013. Dubai’s police chief said that a number of Ferraris to be introduced to the force will be driven by female officers. Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan tweeted that he expected to see Dubai Police’s female recruits getting behind the wheels of the Ferrari FF supercar, which costs about $500,000 and has a top speed of 335 kmph. Earlier, they revealed its new AED2m ($500,000) Lamborghini which can reach speeds of up to 350 kmph.

Police made the announcement that the Ferrari FF was joining its fleet via Twitter earlier this year. The Ferrari FF is a three-door, four-wheel drive grand tour with a top speed of 335 kmph, capable of accelerating from zero to 100 kmph in 3.7 seconds. Cops in the emirate said the Italian supercar had a top speed of 350 kmph, meaning police should have no trouble chasing down offenders. The two-door roadster, which was first unveiled by Lamborghini at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011, boasts a 6.5 liter V12 engine with 690 hp.
