BMW Middle East Group with it’s exclusive agent (Arabian Golf Mechanical Center) revealed about the future of the cars in front of more than 100,000 visitors who attended this year to the Dubai International Motor show where they saw the sport hybrid BMW i8 car for the first time.
The BMW i8 car centered in the BMW platform during all the show time. With it’s creative and intelligent lightweight structure and its dynamic performance, it can accelerate as a sport car and it consumes fuel like small cars, and don’t give off any emissions while walking in the city.
It is expected that BMW i8 will be launched in the Middle East market within the second quarter of 2014 and Mr. Henrik Wonders, the head of BMW i8 production will highlight the importance of the new revolutionary technology that provided by I class of BMW. This car operates with the latest generation of fuel engines with a twin turbo and rear wheels like all the BMW sport cars. The i8 hybrid smart system benefits from a powerful electric engine charges with a socket that transmits the power to the front wheels which makes the car strongly marching with 362 horsepower on the four wheels. With electric engine in the front and a fuel engine in the back, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.4 seconds with a consumption of 2.5 liters of fuel in 100 km and 59 g/km of emissions.
This car design reminds us with the famous BMW M1 sport coupe which features advanced dynamic pneumatic elements never seen before as well as the lightweight structure and high-tech carbon fiber with a weight of 1490 kg empty.
Furthermore the i8 car, BMW will illustrate the first car of seventh category that carry M badge which symbolizes the high performance with M V12 760 engine and duo turbo (Bi-Turbo) along with the new face of the sport coupe cars. Also, BMW will illustrate the trial X4 car and the new fourth category coupe car.
M V12 760 car is designed exclusively with the duo turbo (Bi-Turbo) for the Middle East. The car features custom designed paint and internal vaccinations include V12 seams on the headrests, along with the sound system (Bang & Olufsen) and a sophisticated entertainment system for rear seats with a control feature (iDrive).
The Dubai International Motor show is the most famous and largest exhibition for cars in the Middle East as it hosts more than 500 companies and is held once every two years in Dubai World Trade Center.
