Drive through for accident report in Dubai

Reporting minor accidents in Dubai has been made so much easier and hassle free with the introduction of the 24 hour drive-through service.

This service involves the affected party coming into the drive-through booth at the station and making a report of the incident to the officers on duty. Before coming to the station, however, the person has to call in to the police to decide whether or not it is necessary for authorities to report to the scene.

Once at the drive through booth, a policeman checks the vehicle and takes pictures of the damage before sending over the report via email or MMS.

Brigadier Saeed Hamad bin Sulaiman, director of Rashidiya Police Station – the only station with the service so far, said the new service will help Dubai residents save time as they won’t have to wait too long for a police patrol to arrive at the scene of the minor accident.

An even more efficient way to report the accidents is a related mobile phone app.
