The new project will help provide world-class solutions to manage parking requirements in the emirate. The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi has launched a rechargeable card for its Mawaqif parking management in the emirate.

“The launch of the new Mawaqif rechargeable card comes in line with the DoT’s endeavor to provide flexible, convenient and proactive solutions to the public to achieve maximum benefits,” said Mohammed Hamad Al Muhairi, General Manager of Mawaqif at DoT.
The new card, he added, offers users a wide spectrum of benefits such as the ability to work on all Mawaqif fee payment machines and the facility to recharge them through the electronic account in various flexible ways such as cash or credit cards.
He further added the new card will allow users to get access to all details of transactions through their Mawaqif accounts as well as the ability to link more than one card to the same account.
“Should the cards be lost or damaged, the user can use the available balance either for another rechargeable card or via ‘m-Mawaqif’ service,” he explained. The basic available credit in the card will be Dh50 which will be automatically added to users’ Mawaqif accounts and can be recharged for up to Dh500 each time.
The cards are available for purchase at Mawaqif customer service centers as well as at registered distribution outlets.
