Genesis topped the rankings with an impressive score of 89 PP100 (Problems per 100 vehicles), which made it the most dependable car brand in the J.D. Power’s 2020 Study. Incidentally, it was the first year when Genesis was included in the J.D. Power Study. The Genesis G80 was categorized as the most dependable car in the highly competitive midsize premium car segment.

Lexus ES Ranked as the Most Dependable Car

Lexus ES was ranked as the most dependable car by the J.D. Power’s 2020 Study as it scored 52 PP100. It was the highest ever dependability score in the 31-year history of the study. Lexus ES topped the compact premium car segment to be categorized as the most dependable vehicle.

First All-electric Award by J.D. Power’s 2020 Study

For the first time, a new category for all-electric vehicles was introduced in the J.D. Power dependability rankings. Nissan Leaf made history as it became the first-ever all-electric model to win a segment-level award from J.D. Power. Nissan Leaf was categorized as the highest-ranked all-electric compact car.

BMW 2 Series Ranked as the Most Dependable Small Premium Car

The BMW 2 Series was categorized as the most dependable small premium car by the J.D. Power’s 2020 Study. The second position was also secured by another BMW vehicle as BMW i3 was recognized as the second most dependable small premium car.

Ford Mustang Won the Award for the Most Dependable Midsize Sporty Car

The modern-day Ford Mustang comes equipped with the latest drivetrain technologies and advanced passenger safety features, which helped it secure the number one ranking for the most dependable midsize sports car.
