Competition Sharpened between professionals at GM dealers in the Middle East to win the first prize

The best professionals in the Middle East in General Motors went to the Dubai Autodrome to put their skills to the test in the skills professionals agents competition, the largest contest of its kind globally and organized by General Motors.

The competition comes as part of GM’s commitment to the Middle East to provide the best level of service to customers and to help develop professional skills, experience and knowledge that is enjoyed by professionals at dealerships in addition to highlighting the best and rewarded. The competition this year is the fifth since its inception in 2008.

And entered the contest in 2013 about 2,000 professionals from GM dealers network across the region which includes agencies, Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC. After the first two stages, which tested their knowledge, 40 of them went to Dubai to participate in the event which lasts for two days.

Professionals were tested in front of 42 rulers to diagnose, repair and correct systems on Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC which has added some breakdowns where deliberately. Professionals were evaluated based on their skills in knowing cars and professional knowledge and reform of the first time. This is changing competitions and malfunctions in vehicles for each of the competitions. After testing the contestants, judges chose 10 winners.

Training is the main priority at General Motors Middle East which offers two training centers of excellence in Dubai and the Ongat city in the Philippine in addition to 36 training facility at 17 agents in the Middle East. The centers offer training about 2,000 days of training during the year. The total training sessions that have been made over the trainers or through the Internet are 50,000 sessions in addition to virtual quotas in 2012.

Aonakrishnan Odhayakumar Tharaal of Mannai Trading Company in Qatar won this year to hold the title of the best professional at General Motors in the Middle East. He received a special award by Maurice Williams, President and Managing Director of GM Middle East, at a special dinner concluded the finals which lasted for two days.

On this occasion, Williams said: “The professionals’ skills competition at dealerships is a major event for General Motors Middle East and in the context of our aspiration permanent because we have best professionals agents to serve our customers. That our priority put the customer at the heart of everything we do and make sure they stay our clients throughout the lifespan. Considered our professionals are the interface between the products of GM and customers would like to congratulate all participants in the competition this year”.

Tajodin virus from the Secretariat in Kuwait won the second place in competition. While the third place achieved by Noel Bangnan from Universal Motors Agencies in Saudi Arabia, and Mark Francis Pimentel came from the Canadian company for cars in the UAE in fourth place, while Jesus achieved CNN. Gonzalez Jr. of Bin Hamouda for cars in the UAE in fifth place.
