As an initiative of Mohamed Ben Sulayem’s, Vice President to the FIA and President of the Automobile & Touring Club of the United Arab Emirates, to promote knowledge of sports management in the region, a team of world leading sport researchers are producing a unique book that will change the perception and understanding of Middle Eastern sporting events.
Sport Management in the Middle East is one of newest initiatives’ following the formation last December by Ben Sulayem of the Institute of Sports Research, UAE, which is designed to develop knowledge in the areas of sports management and sports science. The book offers a serious, in-depth analysis of the business and management of sport in this region. It examines the importance of sport in the Middle East and introduces its particular management processes, structures and cultures. The book also offers a number of detailed case studies of sport in individual Middle Eastern countries.
