BMW’s Record November Sales – 170,932 units sold, up 26.4%

Globally, BMW is marking its supremacy by selling enormous number of cars. Speaking about the car sale and purchase industry of the Middle East, it has been seen that BMW witness overall 9% growth in its annual sales during the year 2012. As the year 2013 has still around 15 days to go, the annual sales percentage will be computed in a few more BMW-Salesmonths. During the year 2012, some of the most famous car models in the United Arab Emirates were the BMW 7 Series and MINI. The former banged 4,511 sales in 2011 whereas the latter made 1,108 sales in the Middle East, out of which 196 were brought in Abu Dhabi and 493 in Dubai.

To such an improved sales count, Dr Joerg Breuer, Managing Director of BMW Group in the Middle East said that, “The Middle East is enjoying robust growth across all sectors of the automotive industry, with the luxury segment in particular growing substantially. These market factors coupled with the commitment of our importer partners and the launch of seven new models during 2011 has helped drive our 9 percent sales growth.”

Overall, a visible increase was seen in the sales on the BMW vehicle in the Middle East during the year 2012. To know more about the sales figure for the year 2013, we will have to wait for some more time. Now, switching our inclination towards the November month sales of BMW around the world, let us have a look at this report.

It has been computed that the BMW sold 170,932 MW, Rolls-Royce and MINI vehicles during November, 2013. Last year, the counting during the same month, i.e. November, 2012 was 138,954 units. Moreover, if we compare the sales made during the first eleven months of 2012 and 2013, it has been seen that the company’s sales went up 10.1% by selling 1,664,088 units during this year. Last year, the total units sold in first 11 months of the year were 1,510,857.

On such an improved sales ranking, Ian Robertson, responsible for Sales and Marketing BMW and the Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG said that, “We posted solid gains in many of our markets last month and we aim to continue the momentum. This puts our record sales target for 2012 well within reach and we will once again be the number one premium car company worldwide.”

Having a deeper look at the sales figures, there are a few stats that have come forth. This year, BMW X3 sold 14,653 units, up 28.6%. Moreover, the current BMW X3 sold more than 250,000 units, up 23%, since its launch in November, 2010. On the other hand, BMW X1 sold 14,711 vehicles, up 37.3%. BMW 3 Series Touring sold 7,766 units, up 35.3% and BMW 1 Series sold 20,914 units, up 37.3%. Other than these, BMW 5 Series sold 30,232 units, up 28.1% to and BMW 6 Series’ sales are 2,166 vehicles, up 55.7%.
