1. Ford F-Series

Percentage change: +19.5 percent
The Ford F-Series is on track to be America’s best-selling pickup for 37 straight years and the best-selling vehicle overall for 32 years. Despite increasingly stiff competition from a redesigned Chevy Silverado and a well-received Ram 1500, the F-Series is up almost 20 percent so far this year. The F-Series, which includes the half-ton F-150 and the 3/4-ton and 1-ton F-Series Super Duty, boasts powerful and efficient engines, workhorse towing and hauling capabilities, and well-controlled handling.
2. Chevrolet Silverado
Sales through November: 437,821
Percentage change: +19.1 percent
A vehicle at the end of its life cycle shouldn’t sell well, but Chevrolet put significant incentives on the hood of the 2013 Silverado pickup and then released a much more refined 2014 model. The new model has new engines, state-of-the-art connectivity and class-leading towing. While the last model was growing long in the tooth, the 2014 redesign makes the Silverado fully competitive with the Ford F-Series. The rate of growth for Silverado sales slowed in the third quarter.
3. Toyota Camry
Sales through November: 378,520
Percentage change: +1.3 percent
Camry sales aren’t up as much as the overall market, but sales are up 1.3 percent for the year after being down 2.9 percent through the first six months. With more than 375,000 cars sold, the Camry is still the best-selling car in America, but due to successful redesigns of the Honda Accord, Ford Fusion and Nissan Altima, the Camry isn’t the runaway leader in the midsize sedan segment; many competitors are more fun to drive.
4. Honda Accord
Sales through November: 334,357
Percentage change: +10.6 percent
At midyear, the Honda Accord was up more than 20 percent and was knocking at the door of the Toyota Camry for sales leadership in the midsize car segment. Sales have slowed a bit since then, but the Accord is still the second-best-selling car in America. Excellent use of space, fuel efficient engines, controlled handling, and a reputation for reliability make the Accord our choice for the best family sedan.
5. Ram 1500
Sales through November: 322,268
Percentage change: +22.5 percent
With its 2013 redesign, the Ram 1500 has entered the ring to battle for the best pickup on the market. It is unmatched for interior refinement, and we find its 8.4-inch Uconnect Touch to be the best infotainment system in a pickup. The new 8-speed automatic transmission improves fuel economy across the board, and a new V6 EcoDiesel model qualifies as the most fuel-efficient full-size truck on the market
