Bentley has unveiled yet another special edition model, this time the Mulsanne Shaheen Edition which debuted at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show.
The Mulsanne Shaheen Edition was created specifically for the Middle East market and draws its inspiration from the Shaheen eagle, a bird of prey that is often seen in Middle Eastern culture and society. It features Tungsten over Onyx paintwork, a Magnolia and Beluga leather interior that has been further accented by Dark Stained Burr Walnut Veneer.
Finishing touches to the Mulsanne Shaheen Edition include a bespoke signature Mulsanne Shaheen logo adorned on the rear iPad picnic tables using a fancy gold overlay. The special edition luxury sedan will come with the Mulliner Driving Specification and blends a range of striking design features including 21-inch wheels, Bentley Flying “B” wing vents and Diamond Quilted leather-trimmed cabin.
Options available to the special edition model include WiFi hotspot, a large tilt-opening tinted glass sunroof and a specially-designed electrically-operated bottle cooler. As the flagship for the Bentley brand, the Mulsanne is powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine with 505 hp and 752 lb-ft of torque.
“The Middle East is the biggest market for our flagship Mulsanne, so this year we really wanted to create a car especially for our customers here,” said Geoff Dowding, Regional Director Asia, Middle East & Africa for Bentley. “Our in-house Mulliner design team from the factory in Crewe, UK spoke directly with many Mulsanne customers to create this limited addition Mulsanne Shaheen.”
