‘AGELESS’, the first classic cars race in UAE

“DM Cube”, specialized company in design and communication of signs for the trade companies and also managing sporting events which is based in the UAE has announced the launch of Ageless tour for the legendary cars in United Arab Emirates in 2013. It is a regular race that was held across United Arab Emirates. This race extended over a distance of almost 1,000 km witnessed the participation of nearly 150 classic cars will tour through Emirates roads from Yas Marina ring in Abu Dhabi to the other emirates in the whole cycle and will end up in the city of Abu Dhabi.
The regular race is also known as “Time Speed ​​Distance” race where the goal is not centered on the speed but on maintaining specific times within a specific rate of speed on a pre-defined road and is usually conducted on public roads. Consequently, UAE roads witnessed the appearance of global models such as Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lancia, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz andPorsche.
Participation in the race was only through a special invitation and the race included 150 professional drivers including many celebrities, a group of big international persons and a group of prominent businessman in addition to a number of individuals who have a passion for collecting classic cars from the GCC countries or other parts of the world. The race was held under the laws of the International Automobile Federation “FIA” which adopts and applies a list of common systems to the various types of motor sport around the world and also according to the regulations of the old cars International Federation “FIVA”. International Automobile Federation is an international body working to determine, maintain and preserve the roads cars who have 30 years as minimum age. The Emirates Automobile and Tourism club made sure to success the event by overseeing all regulatory, technical and sports regulations.
The first stop began on December 9 at the Yas Marina ring. On the second day, the racers went to Al Ain city where they went to the third stop of the race from there. The longest distance was when the drivers went through Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Sharjah till Burj Khalifa in Dubai. On the fourth day, the drivers returned to Abu Dhabi which formed the official final station for the race. The closing ceremony was at the evening on Friday, 13 December 2013. This legendary race followed by an auction that held throughout the day on December 13 which included 70 cars displayed a few days before the date of the event to give the public the available to enjoy seeing it closely.
