UAE has given motorists the chance now to reduce their traffic black points on their license. All what they have to do is take the new program. Courtesy of the Emirates Driving Company, the new safety program has been initiated to help motorists overcome road problems through a training session which includes 5 lessons divided between theory classes and a simulator course. This program will mainly emphasize on driving safely, abiding by traffic regulations, following road etiquettes, and proper handling of vehicle.

This initiative has been created by Abu Dhabi Traffic Police to help traffic violators make amends by participating in the course and become responsible drivers. A counter has been set up by Abu Dhabi Police at Vehicle Licensing Department in order to spread awareness about the course details and invites motorists to be part of this program. Furthermore, there are officials at the counter to answer all possible queries and get names for registration.

Now this is how it works:

Every person enrolled in the program will have 8 black points eliminated from their total before exceeding the 24 points limit. However, they will have the chance to apply for the traffic black points reduction program only once a year.

The procedure for joining the course requires those interested to fill up and submit the registration form in Arabic to the community service department and make the course payment through Emirates Driving Company in Musaffah. Registered individuals can then attend the required classes as per schedule and will be awarded a certificate upon the program’s completion. The participants will then receive an SMS verifying that their black points have been reduced as promised.

People applying for the course will be requested to provide their Driving license or Emirates Identity Card. The program fee is set at Dh550 for three lessons and Dh850 for five lessons. Further details such as terms and conditions regarding the course can also be obtained by calling the police service line at 600 566 006, emailing the Community Service Department at community.s.d@adpolice.gov.ae or by visiting the website www.adpolice.gov.ae.
