Gold Class Lane between Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Drivers looking for somewhat of luxury on the road between Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be able to take benefit of an private members- only car lane when it will be launched into service next year. The ‘Gold Class’ lane, which will be accessible for a predetermined monthly fee, offers a full range of extras unavailable features in the other lanes. Gold Class drivers will be provided an extra 10kmph speed limit, newly laid gold painted tarmac and discounts at many service stations. The whole lane will also be further 50cm wide, and will be differentiated off from the common lanes with a red velvet rope.

We live in a society where luxury lovers can enjoy special access to special areas in the nightclub, supermarkets, as said by project spokesperson. As our deep love of cars and driving, it seems absurd that there hadn’t yet brought this service to the road. While the cost has yet to be revealed, Promoters have said it would be fixed deliberately high in order to avert the Gold Class lane from becoming congested. Unfortunately the new classic lane won’t be accessible to all drivers. Only owners of supercars car brands – a list of which will soon be released can apply. And there will be manned vehicles installed along the route – almost like club bouncers – to ensure someone doesn’t try to take benefit of the lane and ruin the experience. Response to the proposal has been affirmative, with several people who frequently drive between Dubai and Abu Dhabi saying they’d certainly like to go via the new luxury lane. I’ve often considered that it just felt somewhat not good to be sharing a lane with much cheaper cars,” said an anonymous Ferrari-owner. “I look further to go via Gold Class and ensuring my fellow users are similarly HNWIs. It just concerns me that they might be putting, say, a Prado in the same category as my more expensive vehicle. Perhaps there should be a VIP or Platinum Class lane as well,” he said.

It’s also been said that project manager is looking for separating the lane from the others via a 25cm wide pane of glass and using authentic flakes of 20-carat gold in the paint, just for that added touch of luxury.
