The auction will be held on March 4, 2018, and the registration process for the online event has already started from Sunday, February 25, 2018. How to take part in the 52nd Online Auction by RTA?
The registration for the 52nd Online Auction for special number plates is already open and interested bidders can register themselves through the RTA website www.rta.ae to take part in the upcoming online event. It is important to follow some guidelines issued by RTA to take part in the event.
These guidelines are given below:
- Interested bidders need to have an account on the RTA website to register for the 52nd Online Auction. If you are a new user and do not have an account then you can create a new account on the RTA website by following some simple steps.
- The new users should either have a valid driving license in Dubai or their vehicle should be registered in Dubai.
- Interested bidders will need to pay a participation fee of AED 120 along with a security deposit of AED 5,000 to register for the 52nd Online Number Plate Auction. The participation fee and the security deposit can be paid online through credit card or debit card or you can visit one of Customer Happiness Centers of RTA in Bur Dubai, Deira, Al Twar Municipal Centre and Umm Al Ramool to pay the dues.

How to Pay for Special Number Plates after the Auction?
RTA in Dubai has been focused on digitalizing all its services in order to make the transactions easy and transparent for its customers. Successful bidders who manage to grab their desired number plates at the upcoming 52nd auction can make payments online through credit card or debit card. You can also pay at one of the Customer Happiness Centers of RTA if the payment is less than AED 50,000.
For payments exceeding AED 50,000, you will either need to issue a certified cheque or pay with credit card or debit card. Successful bidders are advised by authorities to clear their payment within 10 days of the end of auction. If the payments are not cleared within this period, the name of the bidder will be blacklisted and the corresponding bid will be cancelled.
