Design Updates
The 2018 G-Wagen has been redesigned for the first time in its rich history. Launched in 1979, the G-Wagen was introduced as a multi-terrain vehicle with a rugged body and strong stance and with years passing by, the G-Wagen has successfully taken forward the traditions of reliability and adventure-readiness.

Performance Upgrades
The performance attributes of the G-Wagen haven’t changed much from the outgoing model, but the lightweight structure of the all-new G-Wagen is expected to improve the handling and ride quality. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen features 4MATIC all-wheel drive and is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 416 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. While the power attributes of the engine remain same, the old transmission has been replaced with the new 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission.
