Exterior

Rugged yet versatile, the 2018 BMW X3 has an adventure-ready appeal, while it also appears to be an excellent option for stress-free urban commute. With a ground clearance of 8-inches, this Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) can easily charge down any rough terrain or manage unfriendly road conditions.

The roofline of the vehicle has been reworked to have a more sloped look. This has helped the designers at BMW to give the vehicle a more angular look from the rear and make it appear sharper and edgier. At the front of the vehicle is the signature Active Kidney Grille, however, it is now larger and features angular louvers.

The grille is surrounded by chrome accents that complement the sporty appeal of the SAV while the hood of the 2018 BMW X3 is now sculpted to be more muscular and shows off the new design language of the vehicle. The LED fog lamps sit above the corner vents that have been redesigned to complement the overall design. The vehicle now features Halogen LED headlights with low and high beam settings that offer better visibility to the driver and make the vehicle look sharper.

The rear of the vehicle is a lot rounder than before while at the same time, the vehicle carries the hatch look that is expected of the X3. The rear hatch and the glass window are wider in the new model and blend in seamlessly with the rest of the design.

The LED taillights have a new design while the twin tailpipes are now a standard feature to enhance the sporty appeal of the vehicle. The stance of the 2018 BMW X3 is wide and athletic, thanks to the option between 19-inch light alloy wheels, 20-inch light alloy wheels and 21-inch light alloy wheels.

As for the enhanced aerodynamics, the designers and engineers at BMW have added Air Curtains, underbody cladding and a roof spoiler with aero blades that help the vehicle move more fluidly.
