Here is a review of the all-new Lincoln Navigator with a closer look at its design, performance, safety features and more.
Design of 2018 Lincoln Navigator
Breathtaking and versatile, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator has a new design with many new significant changes made to the exterior of the vehicle. The exterior is now bolder and flashier while the interior is more luxurious and quieter than before.
Upgraded Exterior
Since Navigator is the brand’s flagship SUV model, the designers paid a lot of attention to the design and made it as sensational as possible. The 2018 Navigator is now 200 pounds lighter than before, all-thanks to the new chassis and high-quality aluminum body panels.
The exterior style is inspired from the Continental sedan by Lincoln, which has the similar lines and cuts. The majority of changes can be seen at the front of the vehicle, where the old grille is finally replaced by the new Lincoln grille that was present on all vehicles by the brand except for the old Navigator.
The all-new Lincoln Satin Chrome Mesh Grille covers almost the whole front fascia. At the sides of the grille are the Lincoln signature LED headlamps in a better and more modern casing that stand out and look great with the new grille.
The lower front fascia has been updated as well, it is now more seamless and harmonizes with the overall look of the vehicle. The chrome accents at the lower front fascia, around the new grille, windows, sides and the rear of the vehicle standout to add a touch of flash to the elegant design.
The daytime running lights and the fog lights look impressive as well as enhance the visibility of the road ahead. The sides of the vehicle are flawlessly designed to blend in with the new design. With a subtle line just above the door handles and slightly bulged fenders, the 2018 Navigator looks breathtaking even in profile.
The running boards at the sides of the vehicle make sure that entering and exiting the vehicle is easy for everyone. The roof-rack rails offer more space to the driver and the passenger to load more luggage on top of the vehicle if needed.
The rear spoiler and the LED taillights enhances the appearance of the vehicle from the back and makes it look commanding. To make the stance of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator agile, the vehicle is fitted with a 22-inch 12-spoke ultra-bright machined aluminum wheel with a 17-inch spare steel wheel with tyre.
Lavish Interior
The interior of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator has been updated to become more lavish and comfortable so that the passengers can fully enjoy the ride of the vehicle. Since this is a large luxury SUV, it can comfortably seat 8 passengers with plenty of cargo capacity.
The cabin is very spacious, in fact, the 2018 Navigator offers the best-in-class second and third row leg room to its passengers. The front passenger and driver will have 10-way power adjustable, heated seats with lumbar support, while the second row passengers will have PowerFold heated Captain Chair seats with tilt and slide function.
The third row PowerFold split bench will come with power recline function so that even the passengers sitting all the way back are comfortable. Due to these features, the all-new Navigator offers the best-in-class cargo space of up to 103.3 cubic feet.
The center console has a 10-inch LCD Capacitive Touchscreen and Revel Audio System with 14-Speakers. At the front of the driver is a leather-wrapped steering wheel that is fitted on a power tilt/telescoping steering column so that the driver can set the position of the steering wheel as per preference.
The driver also has a 12-inch configurable LCD display in the instrument cluster that shows vital information to the driver in real-time. The Tri-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control allows the passengers to set their desired temperature and be comfortable.
The Active Noise Control ensures that the ride is blissfully silent. To further enhance the luxury of the interior, the designers at Lincoln have added genuine wood trims on the door panels and center console. The Panoramic Vista Roof is available that will be controllable by the front and second row passengers with just a touch of a button.
