Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council and SAEED have launched a new pilot project in the UAE to classify the automobile workshops on the basis of quality and performance. Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council is an organization that is working on multiple projects to improve the infrastructure in Abu Dhabi according to the global standards, while SAEED is a first of its kind traffic safety service in Abu Dhabi that provides innovative and technological solutions to deliver a much-needed support in dangerous road incidents.

The new project referred as the Star Rating System will classify different automobile workshops on the basis of seven fundamental standards that have been formulated to ensure best automobile services for customers in Abu Dhabi.

How the New Star Rating System Will Work?

The New Star Rating System works very systematically and is based on the modern practices followed all over the world to ensure the quality of automobile repairs and other services. This system will rate one to five stars to the automobile workshops in Abu Dhabi on the basis of seven standards that will determine the quality and performance of these workshops.

These seven standards are:

  1. Security
  2. Safety
  3. Health
  4. Appearance
  5. Manpower
  6. Environment
  7. Tools & Equipment

All the workshops will be checked by the teams of SAEED in initial stage of this new project that is also termed as the Pilot Stage by the authorities. At this stage, all workshops will be assessed based on their compliance with the above-mentioned seven standards. Workshops that fail to meet the quality benchmarks of the new Star Rating System will be allowed time to improve their standards.

How the Star Rating System has been designed?

Both public and private organizations have worked together to design the new Star Rating System that caters to the demands of the automobile customers in Abu Dhabi seeking better repair and maintenance services for their vehicles. Many leading experts from different public and private organizations have contributed towards the development of the new Star Rating System. The seven standards have been formulated on the basis of extensive research and understanding of the global requirements that have to be fulfilled in designing such a vital system.

The Executive Director of the Conformity Scheme Services at QCC, Abdullah Hassan Al Muaini believes that the new Star Rating System has the potential to improve the quality standards of the automobile workshops in Abu Dhabi and will grow a healthy competition between businesses that will be good for not only the customers, but also for the consistent growth of the public and private sector.

Multiple organizations have played their crucial part in designing and developing the whole idea of the New Star Rating System. It is a mutual venture that has been mainly supervised by the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council and SAEED.
