Sharjah Police has installed 30 new advanced traffic monitoring radars on five major roads to improve the road safety across the emirate. With an exceptional ability to track multiple traffic violations simultaneously, the newly installed radars are set to improve the monitoring and surveillance standards of the Sharjah Police significantly.

How efficient are the New Radars?
The new radars installed in Sharjah are highly efficient as these radars have the ability to catch multiple traffic violations at the same time. These radars are equipped with 3G technology to send information about the offenders directly to the traffic department for immediate action. The information can be in the form of license plate numbers of the vehicles involved in traffic violations.
The new radars can track many different types of violations with the same accuracy. These are tube-shaped radars that will be mainly responsible for tracking major traffic violations like tailgating and over-speeding.

The new radars in Sharjah have been installed under the UAE’s National Agenda 2021, which aims to make the UAE one of the safest countries in the world. The Commander in Chief of Sharjah Police, Brigadier Saif Al Ziri Al Shamsi stated that the new radars are better-equipped to track multiple violations at the same time and their addition to the traffic system will help Sharjah traffic authorities in combating the traffic problems more efficiently.
