Two Safe Drivers Win Cars in Dubai under White Point System

The traffic authorities in Dubai continue to encourage safe drivers with their White Point System that acknowledges the most disciplined drivers of the year. As part of the White Points Initiative, two safe drivers became the latest winners of a brand new car. The White Point System was introduced in Dubai in 2012 to encourage the motorists to drive safe by offering them incentives in shape of giveaways and prizes. Since then, a marked improvement has been observed in the behavior of motorists and a majority of motorists have become more watchful and proactive while driving, which is certainly a great news for traffic authorities.

2,000 Motorists Won Prizes for Safe Driving from Dubai Police

Motorists who commit the least number of traffic violations throughout the year receive rewards from the Traffic Police in Dubai. In the most recent ceremony for rewarding motorists under the White Point System, almost 2,000 motorists received different prizes for contributing towards making the Dubai roads safe for commuting. Two of the safest motorists, Bilal Atiq Bilal and Sara Juma Rabee Khwaidem won a brand new car each and both of these motorists were the UAE nationals. The ceremony was held at the Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai in the honorable presence of Abduallah Al Marri, Commander in Chief of the Dubai Police and Major General Saif Al Zafin who is the Head of the Federal National Council and Assistant Commander in Chief of the Dubai Police.

How the White Point System has Improved Road Safety?

According to Saif Al Zafin, the Head of the Federal National Council and Assistant Commander In Chief of the Dubai Police, the White Point System has played an emphatic role in restoring the road safety in the emirate. The number of safe drivers has increased up to 700 percent after the implementation of the White Point System, which is a great sign. According to Commander in Chief of the Dubai Police, Abduallah Al Marri, the White Point System is not just a cog in the machine for traffic authorities but it is actually one of the most significant initiatives to achieve zero road accident deaths in the UAE by 2020.

How the White Point System Works?

The White Point System bears critical importance as it is directly linked to the safety of motorists. The best way to ensure road safety could be to deal with the root cause of this problem that is to introduce initiatives for reducing traffic violations committed by motorists. Before the new rules are implemented, the traffic authorities are delivering lectures to educate motorists about the new changes in the traffic rules. For this purpose, the Dubai Traffic Department has delivered lectures to almost 15,000 motorists and made an effort to make them aware of the new traffic rules. This will help motorists understand the new rules in-depth in order to avoid some new traffic violations which have been added to traffic rules as amendments. The traffic authorities praised the motorists at the rewarding ceremony held for white point winners and urged them to stay disciplined so that maximum road safety can be sustained for a long term in the UAE.
