What is wrong with the Defected Airbags?

The airbags manufactured by a famous Japanese brand Takata Corporation have witnessed cases around the world where airbags inflated incorrectly in the case of a car crash and exposed the driver and the passengers to some sharp objects which caused severe injuries and 16 fatalities across the globe. It is not certain if all the cars around the world with Takata airbags have the same defect, but as an extreme precautionary measure, almost all the cars by different car makers with these airbag inflators have been recalled. The major problem so far identified in the Takata airbags is their susceptibility to humidity and high temperatures which leads to the abnormal inflation of these airbags causing a serious threat to the lives of the occupants of the car. The issue is not just with the airbags for the driver’s seat but also for the airbag inflators of the rear seats.

Should you worry if Your Vehicle is recalled?

The recalling of vehicles all over the world has been executed in order to ensure the maximum safety of Toyota’s customers worldwide. The customers of Toyota must not be worried as it is part of a global move initiated after a consensus of all major car brands to eliminate the threat posed by the airbag inflators manufactured by Takata Corporation. The exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE is in contact with the customers to complete the recalling of the vehicles with defective airbag inflators and is keeping the customers informed about the progress of the recalled vehicles.
