Few motor companies have achieved what has been by Mercedes Benz in the vehicle sale industry. The German car maker has been lauded world over by loyal customers for the quality it provides in its products which have thus received a very high car rating.

When the S class rolled off the production line, there was a lot of buzz about it in the car market and it sold like hot cake to the joy of the parent company. Despite all this success, there were some concerns when the car was recalled so as to fix a problem within it.

The 2014 Mercedes Benz S Class was recalled due to the fact that it had a faulty seat belt anchor. With such machines that can go at relatively high speeds, it is vital that the safety mechanisms put in place to safeguard the lives of the occupants are working to their level best to do so.

290 units of the S550 made between April and October of 2013 were called back due to front seat belts that were incorrectly installed, a manner that could see them come loose in a crash thus send the occupants hurtling around in the cabin unprotected.

Mercedes issued alerts to the owners to get their vehicles into dealerships so that they can be fixed free of charge.
