For car enthusiasts, good news is that the new MINI 2014 has been publicized. As per user car rating, it is considered to be one of the most exemplary cars in the world as it has the best and the most advanced look. Wide range of three and four-cylinder engines, new design and hi-tech kit are just some of its newer features. Peter Schwarzenbauer, the boss of Mini has recently announced that the car will enter the production line really very soon. Additionally, he has also confirmed that the three models, i.e. Cooper, Cooper D and Cooper S will be made available for sale first. It is being said that the MINI will have the BMW’s new front-wheel-drive platform architecture that is known as UKL1.
Speculations are that the new MINI will reach the market in March, 2014 at a total price of Dh676,959. Few trademarks of the MINI include rounded headlights, tiny overhangs and compact proportions. Apart from that, there’s a new semi-circle of LED daytime running lights in the headlamps. You can upgrade t these into full LEDs in case you want to do so. Overall, the MINI 2014 will be 98mm longer, 44mm wider and 7mm taller than the current model. Also, the track has been widened by 42mm at the front, 34mm at the rear. The wheelbase has also been extended by 28mm.
Another interesting feature in this car is that it has parking sensors that glow green, red or yellow on the basis of the space that the driver has to park his or her car. These LED displays orange, blue or red hue according to the driving mode set by the driver. There’s an 8.8 inches TFT color screen on the front, which enhance the visibility during day and nighttime. If you have driven the present MINI, then you will notice a slight change in the position of the start/stop button in the 2014 MINI. The latter has the start-stop button (in the form of red button) on the center console.
It has been said that the MINI Cooper S JCW that will be released the coming summer will be having a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. On the other hand, the Cooper and Cooper D will be having 1.5-litre three-cylinders – one in petrol and another in diesel. The current model of MINI Cooper is being sold at Dh74947. But, the estimated value of the 2014 MINI Cooper will be somewhere around Dh76959. On the other hand, if you want to buy the Cooper D, then you will have to spend a total amount of Dh82744. Another bunch of buyers willing to buy Cooper S can buy it at the starting price of Dh93810.
