The Dodge Avenger Breathes Its Last

It was more than expected for the Dodge Avenger to be discontinued from the production line due to the fact that it could just not gain traction in the car market. It flopped in its first run out as a coupe from 1995 to 2000 and then made a comeback long after the turn of the millennium in 2007 to step into the shoes of the Dodge Stratus as a four door vehicle.

Another big neon sign pointing to the end of the Dodge Avenger is the fact that the platform on which it was modeled that of the Chrysler 200, was terminated. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles claims that it does not want there to be sister models from its brands competing because this will not milk all the potential from the individual models.

This is the right time to get into a used car sale or a car trade in while the Avenger still has something in it to be valued. FCA halted its production due to plans of having a new 2015 Chrysler 200 leading the charge into the car market in this segment.
