Are you a safe driver? Do you abide by the law and have got absolutely no fines for the past year? Then get ready to drive a  new car! Dubai Police rewarded 2 of the safest drivers last year: Layla Al Baloushi and Atiq Mubarak, who did not violate any traffic rule last year, by giving them a brand new car.

In order to honor safe drivers and sponsors of the white point system, the Dubai Police held a special ceremony on Sunday, where names of 15,000 safe drivers with zero traffic violations entered a draw for winning a  new car.

Usually, one winner is chosen during this event, however Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum decided to pick a second name this year.

Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police emphasised on the importance of abiding by the law and explained how the white point system had helped massively in reducing the number of road accidents.

It is worth noting that the White Points System, which rewards Dubai drivers who follow traffic rules, was introduced in 2012.

It is better to drive safely and get a new car, than having to sell your ride to pay your fines.
